Key takeaways from the Romanian Data Protection Authority

One of the major changes pursued in the data protection field has been the harmonisation of the legislative framework across the European Union (the “EU”), target achieved by the enactment of the Regulation (EU) 679/2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (“GDPR”).
